About me
Ciao Donuts!
So this is me - Terez - a normal girl from Pilsen... who loves the sun, cinnamon and a smile on her face... who has a driving license and can't drive... who loves hotel breakfasts... who always stammers when she's supposed to speak English... who spends half the day at the gym and then eats a bar of chocolate before bed... who wants to have a cat at home but is allergic to it... for whom heels are a dirty word. .. who hates it when people don't respect different opinions... who has watched all the Friends series at least 20 times... who is definitely not the technical type... who will make coffee just so she can dip her Spekulatius in it... who doesn't understand why people pay their entire salary for a new phone... who can make a trip itinerary for a day, a week or a month and think of it as fun...
- ... the girl that everyone was asking "where were we?", "how did we get there?" "how much did it cost?" and "what were we doing there?"
- ... the one who no longer wanted to tell and write to everyone individually
- ... the one who decided to start the blog Travel with Donuts to answer everyone at once, hoping that these lines will help or inspire someone to complete their own journey
- ... the one who thinks that everyone can travel, even if you haven't just won the lottery, even if you don't speak any language fluently, even if you only have 20 days of vacation, etc.
I do a very ordinary office job and almost every day I seamlessly transition from that to job number two - the fitness centre, where I have been working as a group exercise instructor since 2013. I mainly focus on the H.E.A.T. program, tabata + occasionally TRX and even after all these years I still enjoy it so much.
I have always loved travelling and trips, but only with my other half - Pepa - it was slowly becoming an addiction :) I can't stand all-day beach lounging and organized tours. I enjoy finding cheap flights, making itineraries, planning trips, booking accommodation... in short, I enjoy arranging my own holidays, because then you can't complain that you didn't enjoy your holiday because of this or that. Or what you make it, you get it.
UPDATE No. 1: Since the end of 2020 my traveling whims are also experienced by our little Donut Nina. For now she has to :) and in the future we hope she will find the same or at least similar purpose in traveling as Pepi and I do. However, even on maternity leave I didn't quit the gym, and I temporarily changed my job - instead of sitting in the office for 8 hours I work as a producer of the cultural magazine ŽURNÁL, which thank God can be somehow combined with an unguided shot in the back :) or who wants to... you know...
UPDATE No. 2: Although I never thought so, at the end of 2023 our pack was enriched with another member - Jonáš. Nothing has changed from a work perspective and from a travel perspective? It remains to be seen :)
